The oil on a 2008 Audi Q7 is changed by placing a drain pan under the engine and removing the drain plug. The oil filter is then unscrewed, a new filter installed, drain plug replaced, and the oil filled from the top of the engine.
It has to be at the base of the sump, otherwise the oil would not drain from it.

usually, the drain plug located at the botoom of the radiator, or at the side of the botoom of the radiator. The shape the drain plug looks like the butterfly nut. If you do not see a drain plug on the A/T pan then it does not have one. Pan must be removed to access the filter, and drain & clean the pan. Most transmission fluid pans do not have a drain plug.
