Typically spring rolls are found in a variety of Asian countries. I am most familiar with those from Vietnam which are made with a very thin rice paper and dipped in a soy/sugar/water mixture. They are called 'spring' rolls because they are traditionally eaten on the Chinese New Year, which takes place in the beginning of the spring season.
Spring rolls are "des rouleaux de printemps".
