Taking the light off is probably not the best solution, but instead checking what the error is reading out should be a more appropriate route. If the light is on, it can be that the ABS in turned off or that it is malfunctioning and can lock up on you at any moment. Be safe and have it checked out for Codes and go from there.
No the E30 BMW 3-Series do not have ABS. ABS was made standard on the later E36 models in April 1992.
