For my 1998 VW new beetle
My car had this problem. It worked 80% of the time. I used the radio most of the time but when I started to listen to some CDs, I would get errors and the whole thing would just freeze. I started having overheating issues with my car so I had a mechanic fix the problem. While fixing the overheating problems, the mechanic also discovered there was an electrical error and he detached my stock radio/cd changer and said it was causing some of the problems. I purchased and installed a brand new CD/AUX/USB/RADIO deck myself and now my cruise control and rear defrost works perfectly. The mechanic said he wasn't surprised that the new electrical piece he replaced fixed those minor problems.
the head unit says E01 which i think is a error, but the multi CD player isn't working i think it may just be inline fuse but have no idea where it would be in the car as i only got it yesterday
An error code E33 on a CD changer means that the disk tray door is open. If the door is not actually open, the sensor is bad that reads if the door is open or closed.
You can't take it and and get it fixed The cd's are jammed...Doers it give an error code?
The speakers in your car are the only thing that are Bose. The CD Changer is actually an alpine unit. The Navigation command unit is from Mercedes Benz, not Bose, or alpine. If you have a CD in the changer and you are getting an error, the problem is with the changer, not the unit. If you have a CD in the unit and you are getting an error the problem is in the unit.
Probably need a new CD changer. Cheaper to replace than repair.

Error 9 on that particular changer is a weak RF signal error. That means that the unit is not sending out a strong enough signal to the antenna. Error 9 on that particular changer is a weak RF signal error. That means that the unit is not sending out a strong enough signal to the antenna.
