The Intox EC/IR II (made by the Intoximeter Corporation) is a breath testing device used by law enforcement and scientists worldwide. The margin of error (also known as the margin of acceptability or tolerance) is +/- 10% of the target value (which differs depending on whether you use a dry gas standard or wet bath solution for calibration checks).

To make this clear assume that a sample of vapour containing alcohol is introduced into the instrument. If we know the true value of the gas is 100mg% alcohol (EtoH) then the instrument is capable of producing accurate readings of between 90-110mg%. This range (the difference between the measured and the true value) represents the tolerance of the instrument. So long as it falls within this range the instrument is working properly. Note that all instruments have margins of error. There is no such thing as perfect measurement.

One additional note of interest. The above is correct if you are asking about the margin of error of the instruments ability to measure alcohol in a vapour. It is not however true if you are asking the margin of error of the instruments ability to measure alcohol found in the blood. This will seem odd (since the whole point of breath testing is to determine blood concentrations) until we realize that while the instrument's margin of error is +/-10% this only applies to its direct measurement of the vapour. In order to produce a blood alcohol concentration the instrument must convert that breath measure into a blood measure. This conversion skews the margin of error dramatically (and in criminal matters to the benefit of the accused). Factors that account for this include use of a 2100:1 partition co-efficient (when the actual is closer to 2400:1) the number of samples taken (and use of the lowest), delay in taking samples (thus allowing for elimination of alcohol), truncation (rounding down of readings) and the quality of the samples provided (in criminal matters by uncooperative subjects which results in lower than true values). Depending on where you live (and thus which factors are present in your situation) the true margin of error between breath and blood is likely to be a situation where the instrument systemically underestimates blood by around 10%.

What is a intoximeter ecir II?

The Intox EC/IR II is a machine used by police to test the amount of alcohol detected on a person's breath. The police use this machine at the police station. The results are used against a defendant at trial for drunk driving. I believe only 4 states use this particular machine currently. What is the value of Ec and Ev for silicon at 300k?

The values of Ec and Ev for silicon at 300 K are approximately 1.14 eV and 0.0 eV, respectively. Ec represents the energy level of the conduction band, while Ev represents the energy level of the valence band.

What is the mean of EC in EC grade aluminum rod?

The EC grade aluminum rod refers to the electrical conductor grade aluminum rod that is commonly used in electrical and electronic applications due to its high conductivity. The term EC is an abbreviation for "Electrical Conductor." To calculate the mean or average of the EC content in EC grade aluminum rod, we need to know the composition of the rod, specifically the percentage of EC in the material. This information can be obtained from the manufacturer or supplier of the aluminum rod. Once the EC content is determined, calculating the mean would involve adding up the values for each sample and dividing by the total number of samples. However, it's important to note that EC grade aluminum rod typically has a minimum purity level of 99.45% or higher, which means the variation in EC content between different samples may be minimal. Without knowing the specific percentage of EC content in the EC grade aluminum rod, it's not possible to calculate the mean. However, it's safe to assume that the variation in EC content between different samples is likely to be minimal due to the high purity level of the material.

What pickups does the ESP Ltd EC 1000 have?

The ESP ltd EC-1000T/C TM, ESP ltd EC-1000FR (Floyd Rose Tremolo), ESP ltd EC-1000QM (Quilt Maple), ESP ltd EC-1000 BLK (Black), ESP ltd EC-1000 VB (Vintage Black), ESP ltd EC-1000 SSB (Silver Sunburst), all have an active EMG 81 in the bridge position, and an active EMG 60 in the neck position. However, these following models of the ESP ltd EC-1000 line DO NOT have the same pickups as the previous. The ESP ltd EC-1000T and ESP ltd EC-1000 MGO (Metallic Gold) both have Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups, in both the bridge and neck positions. The ESP ltd EC-1000FM (Flame Maple) has a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position, and a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck position. As a side note, ALL of these pickups are humbucking, or dual coil.

How do you turn off the ec light?

If you can't turn the ec light off by using the button it means there is a problem with the a/c system (low refrigerant level). There was an issue with a setting (only a dealer can change) on some cars in the a/c control panel that causes the unit to think the refrigerant level is low. The dealer would check the refrigerant level and if it was ok, they would change the setting.
