Forecaddie is a person who runs and identifies the players ball locations and gives them yardages as a caddie would . then you are running ahead and watching where they hit the ball and locate it for them and repeat again . You can do this for 1 person up to 4 people . all by your self this job REQUIRES you to be in great shape because you are non stop running locating balls and and cleaning there clubs

* I hate this job !! *

Caddie is a much easier job depending if you are double bagging or not .

If you are caddying for 1 person you carry there bag clean there clubs repair divots

rake bunkers . clean clubs, balls etc .

Double caddie is when a 2some only hired 1 caddie .

you must carry both bags and do all above as if you were caddying for 1 person

Allthough the job sucks it normally pays pretty well because the players feel sorry for you lol

I hoped this helped you out

Where did the word fore originate in golf?

it arose by 1878 & perhaps as early as 1857 most likely in Scotland or perhaps England & probably as a contraction of before or else of fore caddie a fore caddie was a caddie who went before or ahead of a golfer to keep track of long shots & prevent lost balls

What is the difference between a fore-caddie and a caddie?

a forecaddie does not carry a golf bag but rather rides on the back of the golf cart or runs ahead of the golf cart on every hole. His job is the same as any other caddie because a forecaddie still rakes bunkers, gives hole descriptions, reads greens, and cleans clubs. then at the end of the round the golfers hook you up with cold hard cash. depending on the course you work at a caddie or forecaddie will make primo money.

Why do a golfer have to say fore and not five?

It is "Fore", not "four", hence not "five" either. The "Fore" comes from the old use of "Fore-caddies" who were down the fairway looking for the golfers ball coming down the fairway from the tee. The golfer would yell "Fore" telling the "Fore-caddie" that the ball was on the way. Now, of course, "Fore" means "Watch out! Ball is coming your way."

Who pays the caddy?

Generally, the caddie gets a percentage of the golfer's earnings for the week which is worked out between the golfer and the caddie.

What is the difference between pre and fore?

"Pre" and "fore" are both prefixes that refer to things that come before something else. However, "pre" is more common and is used in a wider variety of contexts, while "fore" is less common and often found in archaic or poetic language.
