Fleet gets an upper case letter at the beginning of a sentence. There are few other times when it enjoys the distinction. Back when, United States President Teddy Roosevelt sent a large battle group around the world. (Half way, actually. Then he told Congress to fund their return.) This group of vessels became known as the Great White Fleet. Other than something like that, the word fleet usually gets a lower case letter.
