Please be reasonable about this! What will your family do without you?

The word reasonable basically means to use common sense.

In my above example, it appears as though the person I am speaking to is about to do something to himself. So I am begging him to use common sense and be reasonable, which would hopefully make him realize that others depend on him.

Banning peanut products from schools might seem reasonable at first, given the deadly severity of some children's Allergies, but once you start reading the ingredients labels, you realize that nearly ALL foods have peanuts or traces of peanuts in them.

It's perfectly reasonable to expect your prescription to be ready in ten minutes, since all the pharmacist has to do is put some pills in a bottle.

As a reasonable person, I always assumed there must be a legitimate cause for the long delays in getting your pills, but then I went to an efficient pharmacy and found out that wasn't true.
