It reinforces the corporate value structure aimed at maximising benefits and preventing losses.

All organisations will present a certain style or culture which is the image they wish to portray. The communication and information within the organisation should reflect that image, whilst supporting the social diversity of the audience, that being the customers of the business and any special needs they require.

A clash of communication styles or a mismatch of the cultural image and that of what the company is presenting can offer result in poor working relationships. In an organisation, a culture develops due to its member's unique ways of doing things, which is aligned to their goals and objectives. The company culture is not so much designed but developed from what the organisation is, rather than what the organisation has.

In today's business world, organisations are generally culturally dependent. The way we communicate our image, through speech, thought and action, our method of communication will have an affect on the business of our business and the relationships we have with our business partners.

By culturally dependent we mean that, our understanding of relationships and the communication in them is derived from our culture.

Cultures develop their own standards for behaviour. Organisations, as cultures, do the same, they develop standards that regulate relationships among people of various status. Behavioural standards develop in regard to communication, too. These standards govern such things as the way communication proceeds, the issue that can be discussed, and the way conflict may be managed.

The cultural standards you learn in one organisation may be quite different from those you will need to know in another.
