A industrial shrink wrap machine was developed and proved in Denmark In the mid-1960s and was manufactured under licence by Modern Industrial Appliances Ltd. of Storrs Bridge Works, Loxley, Sheffield with a brand name of Palletite. An early use was in the local refractory brickworks of the Loxley Valley and Stannington area. An early review of the product can be found in Commercial Motor magazine on page 88 of 12th May 1967 issue. The product was trademarked in the USA in 1971 - see 926.432 it was cancelled in 1979.
