Hi, where there is no need of changing the value of resistor then why do you place variable resistor instead a fixed resistor. After all the selection of resistor depends on the cause of use in application. by the way wide range of resistor values are avilable in the market. if the application requires tuning operation then variable resistor is need to be mounted. nothing is mandatory unless the application requires. A trimmer resistor usually called a trim pot is a small variable resistor it is used in circuits to do preset it is trimmed with a trimmer screwdriver it is made up with a round fiber disc with a layer of carbon with a wiper that run on the carbon layer to change the resistance it always have 3 connecting pins where the center one is connected to the wiper and the other two to opposite ends of the carbon strip.
The phase angle will either go up or down as well, depending on the new value of the resistor.
A variable resistor usually has three terminals, one of which is connected to the 'wiper' by which means its resistance is measured. By using all three terminals, we can control the potential difference in a circuit. When used in this way, we call the variable resistor a 'potentiometer'. By using two of the three terminals, one of which must be connected to the variable wiper, we can control the current passing through circuit. When used in this way, we call the variable resistor a 'rheostat'.
A cement resistor is typically used as a power resistor (a resistor whose power rating is greater than 1 W).
It doesn't matter which way round you place it.
No it doesn't
Clockwise
Merry-Go-Rounds spin counterclockwise.
An English Merry-go-round will rotate clockwise. A French one will rotate anti-clockwise. Carousel is the preferred name.
usually counter-clockwise.
No... Diode block one way... resistor block eitherway.

The water cycle will forever go round and round.
It was a way of getting round for them as they did not have aeroplanes cars ect...
it depends on if you ride goofy or regular
