River Tyne that separates Newcastle upon Tyne from Gateshead has several crossing points using bridges, most of them really close together. The ones that I can remember from when I lived in Newcastle are: Millenium bridge Tyne bridge Swing bridge High bridge These were the main ones close to the bar on the Queyside. The remaining 3 were further away and can't remember the names since they were not as popular to the public by name.
The bridge design was based on New York's Hells Gate Bridge

The history of Newcastle dates from about AD120, when the Romans built the first bridge to cross the River Tyne at that point. The bridge was called Pons Aelius or 'Bridge of Aelius', Aelius being the family name of Roman Emperor Hadrian, who was responsible for the Roman wall built across northern England along Tyne-Solway gap. Hadrian's Wall runs through present-day Newcastle with stretches of wall and turrets visible along the West Road, and at a temple in Benwell.

The West Walnut bridge is the oldest in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1863, a bridge was funded and built in the borough of Fort Howard. It ran to what then was called Main Street, and what now is called West Walnut. Before its building, residents relied on the ferry to get passengers and goods to and from the east and west sides of the subsequent Green Bay.
Green Island Bridge was created in 1832.
