Dowtherm is a heat transfer fluid produced by The Dow Chemical Company. The vapour or "fumes" that come off this liquid can cause nausea if you're exposed to it for very long. The smell is a combination of sweaty old car keys in the palm of your hand with chopped onions and citrus rind.
