What is the angle between no load current and the applied voltage in an ideal transformer?

A: Transformer by itself goes not alter the phases the output can be in phase or out of phase depending how you look at it.

Why when voltage applied to only one phase of the primary side voltage is produced in all the three phases of secondary in a transformer?

Your question doesn't describe under what circumstances the transformer is being used. Normally, a two wire (hot and ground) AC voltage can only be a single phase supply. Look up the explanation of how AC current cycles on a sinewave (60Hz is 60 sinewave cycles per second). This is also known as a single phase. Coming into a standard residential house is a three wire line with two hot wires and a ground wire. The two hot wires are out of phase with each other (opposite sinewave). A standard transformer can have multiple outputs with various/same voltage. Look up how a transformer works. Without special electronic components for each output circuit, all taps will be in phase. A transformer outfitted with the special electronic components is very expensive and not for normal everyday use.

What size motor do you need to run a compressor 2 stage 80 gallon tank i have a 3 phase on it and want to change motor?

You probably need a 5hp or 7hp motor. Look for HP rating o the 3 phase motor and select the same for single phase. 3 phase has same power but is more efficient at electricity use. Also consider a 3 phase converter. It allows a 3 phase motor to run on single phase service.

Are Inductor and Capacitor impedance in phase when a resonance frequency is reached?

Not at all..bcoz den da phenomenon of resonance itself will not occur..Look,resonance occurs wen inductive and capacitive reactance cancel out each other,i.e. the magnitudes of inductive and capacitive reactances are equal but they are 180deg out of phase with one other. Under resonance:: jwL=1/jwC BY...Rahul

Why the voltage between phase to neutral is 240v compared to phase to phase is 415v?

What you are describing is a three-phase, four-wire, system having a phase voltage of 240 V and corresponding line voltage of 415 V.You do not add the three phase voltages (3 x 240 = 720 V) to obtain a line voltage. The three phase voltages are actually displaced from each other by 120 electrical degrees, so any pair of phase voltages must be vectorially-added to obtain a line voltage. If you perform this calculation, you will find that the line voltage is always 1.732 times larger than the phase voltage. So, 1.732 x 240 = 415 V.

How do you determine a 3 phase motor and each winding?

To see if the motor is three phase or single phase look at the motor's nameplate. There it will tell you what the voltage needs to be and what system phase the motor needs to be connected to operate properly.

What did the moon look like on 1-28-12?

The moon on January 28, 2012, was a waxing crescent phase, which means it would have appeared as a small sliver in the sky. This phase occurs a few days after the new moon when the illuminated portion increases each night.

What did the moon look like Friday?

The appearance of the moon varies depending on its phase. On Friday, the moon was in its waning gibbous phase, appearing as a large illuminated disk with a slight shadow on one side.

What is the difference between the life cycle of a grasshopper and a frog?

With the grasshopper the eggs hatch into animals that look like little adults. With butterflies the immature animals look nothing like the adult and live of different food. Also there is a "pupal" phase between the caterpillar and the butterfly.
