Each type of garage door is going to have slightly different instructions. If the door did not come with installation instructions, try contacting the store you bought it from or the manufacturer of the door.

This is a very complicated question, as not all the projects are the same. If it’s an entire system in a brand new built garage it is entirely different than when you replace an old garage door, keeping some of its old settings and parts.

The door’s weight and size must match the model of the springs, the tracks should be preferably replaced as well. When it comes to openers though you usually won’t need to replace it, but it might be a good timing to do so.
