You can't make XOR out of NOT alone. Mathematically, NOT takes only a single argument, and its gate, an inverter, takes a single input. There's no way to combine two inputs giving a single output with one input gates. You need some two input gates to do the job. They can be AND, OR, NAND, NOR, or some combination, but you need something. That said, they don't have to be IC gates; you can combine two inputs with diodes to make an OR gate, so you could make XOR with only inverters and diodes, i.e. no other gate symbols on your schematic, but it would mot be making XOR out of NOT.
simply by complementing x input before applying to and gate for generating carry
one terminal of the ex-or gate should be connected to a high input(1 or 5V). the other terminal is used as the input terminal,since not gate has only one input.when we give a high to this input, now the inputs of exor gate are 1 & 1.so output is 0.when we give a low to the input , then the inputs of ex-or gate are 0 and 1, output is 1. Hence it works as a controlled inverter.

1. Explain NOR gate as Universal Gate A NOR gate is a simple OR gate with an inverter (NOT gate) at the output. NOR gates are considered Universal Gates because thay can be configured in a few different ways. Connecting the inputs on a NOR gate will result in a NOT gate (inverter). Connecting the above to the output of a NOR gate results in an OR gate.

This is made by joining the inputs of a NOR gate. As a NOR gate is equivalent to an OR gate leading to NOT gate, this automatically sees to the "OR" part of the NOR gate, eliminating it from consideration and leaving only the NOT part. Truth Table Input A Output Q 0 1 1 0

It means do not get emotionally attached/involved. For example, if you are part of a jury on a trial, you need to "leave your feelings at the gate". Another example may be, being friends with an ex spouse.
For 2-input EX-OR gate, if one input is A, the other input is B, and the output is Y. Then the Boolean expression for EX-OR (XOR) function (gate) is Y=A⊕B The output Y is true if either input A or if input B is true, but not both.Y= ( (A and NOT B) or (NOT A and B) ) ;
