Engine oil No. 46 how does this relates to the engine oil type xxWxx?
you can smell it hydrolic oil has a distinct smell to it AnswerHydraulic fluid is almost always thinner than motor oil. Answermotor oil is slightly slick if you rub it between you're fingers. hydraulic fluid will fell the same as brake fluid when rubbed between you're fingers. motor oil (new) will (typicly) be a darker shade as well. hydraulic fluid is normally clear or very close to clear.note: you should not leave either of these fluid's on you're skin. you should wash hands as soon as you are done handling them.
you can not mix hydraulic oil in engine oil because if you do a fire will occure and then you will blow up in a million pieces.
