Say you ask me to replace your old door with a new one at an agreed price. I then later discover that your frame is rotten, so before i put in the door, i have to replace the frame and the cost for that is an extra because it wasn't part of the initial agreement. So we call it a variation order. If you say you will pay for it, then i will do it, but if you say you won't pay for it, i will just put your new door on the old frame as initially agreed.

What are the advantages of organization in a construction project?

With the guidance of engineers, the architect's vision of a new building, most often laid out on blueprints will succeed if the construction process is organized. If this plan is not carried out properly, then the results will cause construction delays as work completed may need to be undone, in order for the structure it come to completion. here is an example of an unorganized building project using basic engineering principles. All the electric wiring, switches and cables should be installed before the floors and walls are constructed. If this is not done, then the work must be taken apart in order for the electric components to be installed.

What is Variation order in construction project?

A "variation order" is most often when some extra work gets added to a project after the contract has been signed. For instance, I contract to paint your house, and we agree on a price. Then you ask me to paint the shed too. That's extra work and materials that weren't in the original agreement, so it will be added to the contract and the final cost.It could also be additional work needed for hidden problems that weren't apparent at the time of the contract.Like maybe I contracted to replace your windows and when I get the old window out, it turns out that the framework is rotted and has to be replaced. That work wasn't part of the original agreement and price, so I'll ask you to sign a variation order that states you're going to pay me for the additional work.

What is an example for inversion?

In JFK's inaugural address, he says "United there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided there is little we can do." This is an example of inversion, specifically the part where he says "United there is little we cannot do," versus "Divided there is little we can do." (The actual definition of inversion is: Inverted order of words in a sentence (variation of the subject-ver-object order). Source: The Language of Composition. Editors: Shea, Scanlon, Aufses
