Vulnerability is a state in which an object can POTENTIALLY be affected by a force or another object or even a situation but not necessarily is or will be affected (eg. a Polar Bear can be vulnerable to Cobra's venom BUT they will probably never meet). Exposure is a state in which an object is already being affected by a force, an object or a situation (eg. A Vampire walks out in broad daylight and is exposed to a harmful sunlight).

What is the difference between risk and exposure?

An exposure consist of the potential financial effect of an event multiplied by its probability of occurrence and risk is with probability of occurrence. Thus an exposure is a risk times its financial consequences.

What is the difference between relative exposure and log relative exposure?

Relative exposure compares the likelihood of an event occurring in two groups without considering its magnitude, while log relative exposure takes the natural logarithm of the relative exposure to allow for easier comparison and interpretation of results. Essentially, log relative exposure provides a transformed scale for the relative exposure measure.

What types of botulism are there?

Three types of botulism have been identified: foodborne, wound, and infant botulism. The main difference between types hinges on the route of exposure to the toxin.

What is the difference between contamination and exposure?

Radiation exposure is being exposed to radiation (as x rays, gamma, beta, neutrons, alpha, ...etc) but contamination is breathing or ingesting something polluted with contaminants as Mercury, carbon dioxide, uranium, plutonium, arsenic, ...etc

What is the difference between rust resistant and rust proof?

Something that is rust resistant will not rust easily; minor exposure to water will not cause it to rust. Something that is rust proof will not rust.

What is the difference between acute and chronic injuries?

Chronic is a condition that results from long term exposure at low levels. Acute is a sudden injury from exposure to a short term high level. For instance, chronic hearing loss could result from an extended exposure to loud noise, such as loud music. An acute hearing loss could result from a single brief exposure to very high sound levels, such as an explosion or gunshot.

What would be the difference of temperature between two surfaces- one painted white and the other painted black considering same material size and exposure time?

The difference of temperature between two surfaces- one painted white and the other painted black considering same material size and exposure time will be dependent on the sunlight intensity. The black surface will be hotter. on the other hand, when brought indoors, the black surface will lose heat faster and will be cooler.
