Well i used to cut myself and the reasons i did it was because i was so stressed and i had a bad childhood. And also it made me "feel better" or at least i though it did. But the truth is it does not change anything. There are better ways to get through it all. But some causes are:
*stress
*anger
*pain
*stupidity
*it makes you "feel better"
*you want to die
*sadness
But there honestly is NO good reason for it!!
