ford did not manufacture a 6.0 in year 2000 maybe that is why gas pedal wont work
Broken or disconnnected cable, something stuck under pedal,
if the gauges do not work either then its a blown fuse. if not you may need to replace the pedal assembly
It might be the brake pedal switch
Turn the key to the ACC position. Fully depress the gas pedal. Crank the engine for 10 seconds with gas pedal still depressed. IF IT STARTS LET OFF THE GAS If not, turn the key to the OFF position. Try and start your car. If that doesn't work than you need to take your car in to a Mazda dealership.
Occasionally the gas pedal will have some resistance when you press it. You could check and lube gas pedal, gas cable, and throttle itself.
no it wont work it clogs the engine up
The gas pedal is on the right side as you are sitting in the car.
when you press the gas pedal the gas injection system works, its opens the air vague and flows the air to the engine, in the same time the electronic systems flows the fuel accordingly to the air flow
Most likely its the throttle cable, if not I would check the linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle body.
Take your foot off the gas and move it to the pedal on its side - the brake pedal.Take your foot off the gas and move it to the pedal on its side - the brake pedal.Take your foot off the gas and move it to the pedal on its side - the brake pedal.Take your foot off the gas and move it to the pedal on its side - the brake pedal.
Low fluid, misadjusted cable, internal failure.
