The 2005 Nissan Altima gets around only 16-17 mpg in city. For the highway, the car gets around 24 mpg, a hybrid car will result in better gas mileage.
Radial tires are better for freeway/street driving. They grip the pavement better and have better gas mileage. Cross ply tires are good for off-roading and any other kind of rough travelling.
Depends on what kind of Ford. Regular cars tend to have a better MPG than trucks. To find your MPG write down the mileage on your car at the time of your fill up. When you fill up with gas the next time write that mileage down. Subtract the two numbers and then divide it by the number of gallons you put in the tank. That will give you your MPG.

That depends on what kind of fuel mileage your vehicle gets. It's about 1100 miles, give or take.. figure out your fuel mileage, figure out what that translates to over 1100 miles, and factor in a little more for terrain, as I70 west of Denver isn't very good country for fuel mileage.
