That depends on the size of the room, but the larger unit wont have to run as often or as long to cool the same space, but there is a point where too much is worse than just enough.

How many hoses does a portable air conditioner have?

Portable Air Conditioners can come with one hose or two hoses. A two hose(Dual Hose) unit is a little more costly, but more efficient than a single hose. Please see our webpage for more info: http://www.bestportableairconditionerratings.com/what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-portable-air-conditioner/

How is the cooling efficiency in air conditioners measured?

The cooling efficiency of air conditioners is typically measured using the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) or Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). SEER is the more common measurement as it takes into account the unit's performance over an entire cooling season, while EER is a single-point measurement based on a set of conditions. The higher the SEER or EER rating, the more efficient the air conditioner.

Who invented energy efficient light bulb?

The energy-efficient light bulb was not invented by a single person. However, Thomas Edison's incandescent light bulb laid the foundation for modern developments in energy-efficient lighting, leading to the creation of technologies such as compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that are more energy-efficient.

Must all portable air conditioners be externally vented?

Yes, they do have to be exhausted, unfortunately. They all have to have somewhere to expel the heat energy they have removed from the room being cooled. However, there are multiple options you can use when exhausting the unit. One creative portable AC owner replaced his fireplace screen with a sheet of polycarbonate plastic that was custom cut to adapt to the exhaust hose fittings of his single hose portable air conditioner. This kind of installation will not work with a Dual hose air conditioner. But if you are a bit creative, there are many ways to exhaust the hot air created by a portable air conditioner.
