Well, that all depends on which type of transmission you have in your car. If you a manual transmission and your car revs abnormally high when youre accelerating or driving uphill it is most likely a worn out clutch that is slipping, or a broken or worn out engine mount.

If you drive an automatic transmission it could be quite a few things. Have you noticed any sputtering or shaking while idiling? if so it could be your oxygen sensor. Any check engine lights on? Go to auto zone and get them checked for free, could be a simple, and free fix! as with the manual tranny could also be a broken engine mount. anything else idk, most shops diagnose probelms for free anyways

Does a car accelerate rounding a curve at a constant speed?

No, a car does not accelerate when rounding a curve at a constant speed. Acceleration occurs when there is a change in speed or direction. In this case, the car is moving at a constant speed but is changing direction, not accelerating.

When you accelerate hard your car just splutters but fine after 2000 revs why?

If your vehical is a tracker and you just put the timing chains in, it was done wrong

Is the force needed to accelerate a car greater than the force needed to accelerate a bicycle to the same velocity?

Force is directly proportional to mass. Therefore, even both the car and bicycle are being accelerated to the same velocity, accelerating a car would require more force since it has a greater mass.

How can a car accelerate if its speed is constant?

A car can accelerate even if its speed is constant by changing its direction or increasing its velocity. For example, if a car is moving in a circle, it is constantly changing its direction, resulting in acceleration. Additionally, if a car is moving at a constant speed and then speeds up, it is also accelerating.

What acceleration of a car accelerate even thought your speed don't change?

If the car is moving at a constant speed but is changing direction, it is accelerating. Acceleration is change in velocity, and velocity includes magnitude (speed) and direction.

Your car has high revs even after you have taken your foot off the accelerator what does this mean?

throttle plate stuck? I'm not sure. When I'm driving, I take my foot off the gas and the car jerks and when I have to stop and I push on the brakes the car revs and jerks forward and occasionally stalls
