It really is somewhat of an opinion question but a good thing to keep in mind is that there is the Tesla Roadster electric car that in my opinion really is the only one that I have seen worth a darn and it takes an impossible 12-16 hours of charge time FOR EVERY 200 MILES OF DRIVING! That would mean that it would take you 3+ DAYS just to get from one end of California to the other! Just the same as everything else electronic, just wait, they will get it right. But they haven't yet.
***Something to keep in mind, they are currently building more and more Hydrogen filling stations for Hydrogen powered vehicles. If it were me I would hold out a few years until more of them to show up. If you buy an electric car, you are not helping the environment as much as you think you are. Where does your electricity come from? Ever hear of Nuclear Power Stations? Last I checked, they weren't good for the environment. Hydrogen on the other hand is. AND INFINITE!
I don't pick electric over gas.
There is no gas switch in modern cars. You will have to explain this more clearly.
make it electric cars
Electric cars reduce the amount of fuel-dependent cars on the road. As more electric cars are produced, the US will need fewer barrels of gas.
yes
Neither, Gas cars create pollution that penetrate the ozone layer and begin to create a hole in it. Electric cars run out of battery after 120 or so miles.
Yes, there are pure electric cars as well as a combination of electric and gas powered, such as the Prius.
The technology for electric cars still has a ways to go before it really comes feasible as a "be all, end all" solution for transportation needs.
Nope, they are just very small gas power cars.
No, there are no electric cars in 2012. You should consider buying a hybrid car. They save a lot of gas.
gas
They conserve the Earth's gas.
