92 octane is considered premium gasoline. Regular gasoline typically has an octane rating of 87-89, while premium gasoline is usually 91-93 octane.
Premium gasoline is gasoline that has been blended to meet an octane rating higher than "Regular" gasoline. Higher octane gasoline contains hydrocarbon components which are more branched or have a lower hydrogen to carbon ratio than those with lower octane. In the United States the typical octane numbers, (RON+MON)/2 are as follows: Regular = 87 Plus = 89 Supreme = 93. Typical octane ratings vary in different locations and in some cases elevations.
Usually 89 Octain.
The Kia Sedona requires 87 or higher octane fuel. In the US, "regular" gas is 87 octane, middle grade is 89, and premium is 91-92. For this car, you only need regular grade gas. You *can* use premium, but it is not at all necessary.
You need 91 Octane, which you can use 93 octane and 89 octane mix. which is Premium and Mid grade fuel.
That truck is rated for Premium (grade 89) gasoline, which has been E10 since 1985. It won't run on E85 gasoline. ===================================================== The 2000 Lincoln Navigator Owner Guide shows to use ( " premium " unleaded gasoline , 91 octane or higher
regular unleaded. 89 octane
The octane index is a means of measuring the gasoline quality of certain compounds. Therefore gasoline with a higher octane index has a higher quality and runs more smoothly. SO.........when you read 87, 89 and 91 for unleaded, superunleaded and premium at the gas station you are reading the octane index for that fuel. Essentially, low octane fuel causes for gas mixture to explode prematurely so the cylinders in the engine do not function properly and as a result, you begin to hear you engine knock.
Most all outboard engines have been designed to run on 89 octane fuel. Given the current gasoline situation however, I recommend higher octane, alcohol free fuels to my customers.
For the most part all small engines require 87 octane regular. Some 2 cycle engines require 89 octane gasoline. Refer to your owners manual.
Try regular 87 Octane - if it does not "ping" excessively you should be OK - if it does "ping" excessively try 89 octane
All V6 engines and the 5.7 Liter V8 use Regular Unleaded 87 octane. The 6.4 Liter V8 requires 89 octane premium.
