If your KIA Sportage won't start but has a spark and fuel, it could be a the fuel pump relay or possibly a fuse.
the furl pumps rarely go out on this model. If the pump is not working and no power to pump , replace both the main power relay and the fuel pump relay. THey work in tandom and one effects the other. I always replace in pairs, cost about $ 16.00 each at the Kia dealer.
the relay is usually the same for other componets just swap it with another relay making sure the terminals have the same numbers in the same spots, it may also be a bad groun at the tank for the fuel pump. kia has had this issue with cars stalling or not starting due to this

Ok , there are 2 relays, the main relay and the fuel pump relay, these control 90 % of the sportages functions. They are famous for going out, remember the main relay energizes the fuel pump relay with one of its contacts. Replace both relays at the same time. About $ 16.00 each from Kia. They are located passenger side of engine in black fuse box in front of battery.
