The two genders tend to balance each other out- often aiding classroom harmonious functioning, not inhibiting it. For some odd reason the Church school rampantly opposed co-education and went out of their way to suppress it, or tolerate on the most restrictive diet, so to speak. Buildings were designed with separate entrances for Boys and Girls on opposite sides of the Building! The line of march moved symettrically up to a point, then divided like some weird human diagram, one gender to one side- the other the opposite. The only possible ( paroles) might be, in the High schools- such extra-curicular activities such as clubs, dramatic clubs, singing groups, etc, and that rarely. It is downright strange that they worked out a complex system to prevent the implementation of something that has been a basic practice in American schools since about l902 , when the popular song- the sidewalks of New York, came out- the song clearly implies co-education. -In the Big Town.

Coeducation can have both positive and negative effects on student learning. Proponents argue that it promotes social interaction and collaboration between genders, leading to a more diverse and inclusive learning environment. However, critics suggest that coeducation can sometimes lead to distractions and unequal attention given to different genders, impacting the overall learning experience. Ultimately, the impact of coeducation on student learning can vary depending on the specific context and implementation.

M Y T H. Lilke Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. No evidence to back it up. The only possible advantages MIGHT be- and are still practiced, in Religious classes such as Sunday Schools. Above about the third grade- and well into the Confirmation sylabbus- the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes- were not only gender separated- they met in different buildings- Male classes taught by Church brothers ( these versatile churchly Non-coms served also as athletic instructors, and related posts like Camp Counselors)- the females by various female religious orders- that is nuns such as Dominican, Franciscan, sisters of Charity, etc. I will reluctantly concede that Boys and Girls have different types of spiritual problems, but then again one or two hours a week of Sunday school is not regular , full-student time gender apartheid.
