The reason for this is their parents raising of them. Allowing kids more time for TV and entertainment than studies. This is evident when you compare American school going children to other countries. It is also evident when you see foreign kids excel in school in America next to their American born children. It's sort of that "proof is in the pudding" thing. It's not that American parents are "bad," it's a culture that feed on itself from TV and consumer advertising and spending. So much time is consumed by Americans on getting more and getting what they don't have ( iPod, Ipad, Iphone, HDTV,and on and on) than valuing a good education. Also the parents are put in a position of fear of their children as a child can report them for any strictness they try to enforce in the house.
As for health, one reason is that a body's immune system doesn't get a chance to develop properly with all the products out to fight bacteria. Doctors and pharmacy's are to blame as well as over prescribing medicine is an issue. No one allows any ailments as the slightest bit of issue there is a remedy for it. America is a quick fix, quick fun junkie nation. I don't say this to insult as I am American myself but sometimes too much of a good thing is bad. No one knows how to deal with real hardship when everything is designed to be easy thus giving us poor coping skills. This is taught to children generation after generation and it has shown in our decline as world leaders in...anything.
Lazyness depends on the child but there is some truth in the idea that school kids are disease prone. In school children are in close proximity to each other and therfore contageous diseases can spread more rapidly than in a less dense populous.
A speech about children going to school being lazy and disease prone could include communicable diseases spreading from one child to another with many of them becoming sick, and children not doing their homework even though the majority of them getting their homework done and turned in on time, or other issues. Of course, you would want to back up your points with references to reliable sources. You would also want to practice your speech several times in order to use your voice and gestures to help make your points and keep the interest of your audience.
Liver disease, von Willebrand's disease and diabetes.
Parents take preventive measures in regards to protecting our children, but children are just accident prone.
This is an accident prone area.
Children are more prone to bike accidents because they are prone to more error related crashes. Children lack judgement skills that allow them to decide how to navigate with other people on the roadways. A large number of accidents are from bicycling the wrong way in traffic.
Don't drink. And it's been called a disease but disease is just that. Dis-ease. Alcoholism is addiction and anyone is prone to it. Does that mean everyone has a disease because they are prone? No. Addiction and disease are different and even the brightest doctor can be a complete know-nothing when it comes to this.
Children are more prone to obesity because their parents sit them in front of the computer or in front of the television instead of making them play.
Children are more prone to dehydration and heat illness than adults because they have more body surface area per pound of weight.
