During the month (not in the menstruation cycle) blood and tissue is lined up in the "parts" of a lady. The tissue and blood is stored there in case the women becomes pregnant, then the blood/tissue will be nutrients and a "home" for the fetus.
After a while the female body realizes that if there is no fetus and has get rid of the blood/tissues by a period!
If a female is pregnant she will not have her period because the blood/tissue is going to the baby.
