Japan was attacking many of its neighbors. In 1905, it occupied Korea and Taiwan.
In the early 1930's, it began a very nasty campaign in China.
In 1937, the Japanese army faked an attack by Chinese troops in N.E. China - Manchuria (Mukden, Manchukuo) and further dominated China.
Word of the atrocities committed by Japan got out, and the U.S> government decided it had to stop Japan. It stopped selling all oil, rubber, etc. to Japan thinking that this would stop Japan from being able to make war.
The military leaders and the emperor in Japan felt threatened and attacked the U.S. instead...
Because the us cut off their resoursces
The U.S was made at Japan for bombing pearl Harbor. they were REALLY mad
Because the Japanese were being cut off natural resources from the United States for their involvement in China. United States cut off financial aid to Japan when they did not back out of China, but continued to grab at resources that they were not entitled. Japan decided to go all out and attack Pearl Harbor, where they had been allowed to fish and collect information about the area of the Harbor and send back information to the Imperial Navy, on the US fleet docked in the harbour. The Japanese people saw American's as a people who would not be able to get it together if they were attacked. Historically, they were proven wrong!
The US blockaded Japan. US warships cut off imports of food and oil. This act of war led to Japan bombing Pearl Harbour.
The Battle of the Coral Sea was a Japanese tactical victory; they sank the US Navy's largest aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington. The Battle of the Coral Sea was a US strategic victory; because the Japanese turned around, and headed away from Australia. "Island hopping" to cut off Japanese supply lines <-- Nova Net I believe they intercepted communications to learn of the Japanese attack plan<--Nova Net
They wanted to cut off trade with the U.S. because they relied heavily on our resources, and that made us mad basically because we were making a ton of money.
They wanted to control the Pacific for the resources and power.
No US president got their heads cut off. Now some of them lost thier heads and their minds. but that is a different story.
The Japanese were devestatingly dependent on trade for strategic resources as the mainland really has very little, these resources were essential for waging war. The Japanese invasion on Manchuria and China were in large part to sequre additional strategic resources. The Japanese had imperialistic aggressive intentions to set up a Japanese empire in Asia and this needs oil. When the united states stopped trading oil with the Japanese in their mind they had no choice but to effectively immediately open hostilities to seize oil fields in Indonesia along with various other resources. In short the Japanese needed resources for their economy to function, when the US stopped trading with them their economy could not survive due to shortage in strategic resources like steel and oil
What is the cut off in mppet to get iet davv
The cutting off of oil supplies caused the Japanese to look elsewhere. To avoid the US Warships from interferring with that searching for "elsewheres", they had to be eliminated, the attack on Pearl.
In the UK it is illegal but not in the US and it is not cutting it off its docking it.
