For the second version of the question, the worst teacher of the subject, I vote for my tenth grade history teacher. My best friend at that time just happened to be a refugee from the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. She had escaped with her family in the dark of night to cross the Austrian border and spent a year in a relocation camp there before coming to the US. If anyone should know the year that the Revolution took place, it would be my friend. One day in history class, we covered a brief passage in the text book regarding the Hungarian Revolution which said that it had taken place in 1954. My friend raised her hand to advise the teacher and the class that the date was wrong and what the correct year was. When the teacher called on her and she began her explanation, the teacher told her that the text says 1954 and that the book must be correct. When my friend objected, the teacher told her to stop interrupting the class or she would give her an F in the class.
