What is the structure of an explanation?

There are usually two ways of writing explanations and this is how I do like to write mine.

Title: A question like ''how is/do you?'' of ''what is''

definition: explain whatever the main thing you are talking about is. ( it only needs to be a sentence)

operations: How does your subject become what it is

components/parts: The features of your topic that makes it as it is.

special features/ uses: In this last paragraph you can include the special things about your subject and what people use it for.
