Kindergarten is meant to help prepare a child for school. Most important, it teaches them to focus while in the classroom, and to be used to spending the day at school learning instead of at home playing. Kindergarten usually helps children learn basic skills (like sharing and working in groups together) and facts (colors, shapes, numbers, letters). Children who graduate from kindergarten usually adapt better to school, and do better with future learning.
