either your float level is set too high or there is gunk between the float needle & seat inside the carb. open em up, set the float level to the proper specs. pull the needle & seat and clean & polish them. if the needle & seat are too far gone, order new ones and replace.

What causes gas to pour out of the overflow hose on a new mikuni carb?
It may be caused by a poor needle and seat. The needle or seat may be clogged with debri allowing fuel to continuously flow into the bowl and out the overflow tube. Check this theory by removing bowl, and reinstalling fuel line and carb to engine and allow fuel to flow. Once flow has begun gently push float into the most highest point. Fuel should shut off. If it does not, then you need a new needle and or seat.

Too lean of a mixture. See if a jet is not clogged and clean the carb.
