The fee of engineering colleges has been decided by the directorate of technical education. BIT durg has the highest fee of Rs22000 per semester. The fees will never be changed for the student taking admission this year in the following years.
Colleges must agree this.
However some colleges are charging more than the fees decide. This is called captive fees.
If the colleges are charging higher then strict action will be taken.
For this you need to complain about it.
My friend joined one college of Rajnandgaon an paid Rs64000. I advised him to complain about it. But i think he also fears that he would be taken out of college.
If any college is trying to take extra fees than contact the university.
