A firms resources identifies its capabilities. Resources are the productive assets owned by the firm and capabilities speak to what the firm can do with those resources. Why the firm needs them? Without resources the the firms capabilities are limited.

A company's capabilities are basically the skill(s) available through the company to perform certain actions. Resources are what is used to obtain the results from the performed actions. Resources can be employee group size, knowledge, company equipment, network, etc.
"Companies" means more than one company. "Companys" is not a word, but "company's" is used to describe something that belongs to a company, as in "We parked the car in the company's parking lot."
