Notre Dame's total acceptance rate is about 25%. However, ND accepts 50% of its legacy applicants so if you are not a legacy then the acceptance rate is actually lower than 25%.

The University of Notre Dame acceptance requirements vary each year. As of 2012, the requirements are:

  • Completion of courses. 4 units of English, 3 units of Algebra, 2 units of Foreign Language, 2 Science courses, 2 units of Social Studies, 3 units of Additional History, Science, Foreign language Mathematics and English.
  • Average GPA of 3.7.
  • SAT or ACT scores
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Evaluations
  • Essay/Personal statement
