O-Genki desu ka means "How are you?" in Japanese.
Literally it is "Are you well?"
Being:
Genki = Well
Desu = Are (kinda..)
Ka = ?
O = Polite form / Meaning you haven't seen that person for a while...
There is no "you" because when it is obvious who you are talking to Japanese people omit the "you".
If for some reason you really wanted to get the "you" (Anata WA) in it would be "Anata WA Ogenki desu ka".
By the way... the less used way of saying "How are you?" ... meaning "How are you?" and not "Are you well?" would be "Ikaga desu ka"
Japanese student xD
"Ogenki desu ka?" is a question that translates to "Are you well?" or "How are you?". It is usually answered with "Genki desu" (I am well). Literallly broken down: O (in ogenki) is used as a respectful or polite addition to certain words. Genki means wellness or energy. Desu is a copula meaning "it is" or "are". Ka? is added to a phrase to make it become a question instead of a statement. Note that There is no word for "you" in the phrase, which is because the subject (you) is naturally there. One could hypothetically say "Anata WA ogenki desu ka?" with no change in meaning.
