You should call a friend and ask for the answer, just do the homework in a separate book and copy it into your real notebook later. You can copy it in the morning or at lunch.

• ask the teacher to let you do it over

• See if you can go back to the school and get your work
• If you can't go back, see if someone else in class has the work
• If everybody forgot their work, you'll have to let the teacher know and ask if you can make it up the next day.

A good way NOT to forget your work is to keep a special assignment notebook, where you write every single assignment and take it home every night.

Do it over. Telling your teacher doesn't work. We have heard thousands of students give this excuse. I have had college students try it.

Also look for it, ask a friend for a copy of it or ask a friend to fax you it.
The best thing to do is do it again. If you write an excuse note, they will not care.
