No.... don't take this too much to heart! I got into ND, into the honors program (the top 100 of 2000 accepted for the class of 2011), and I had like a 3.7 unweighted. They're looking at you overall. Take a mix of hard and easy classes so your GPA isn't TOO bad, but really what got me in (in my opinion) is taking 9 AP classes, getting a 1550/1600 on my SAT, being in Student Government, over 300 community service hours, and band. Now, breaking 1500 is kind of unusual here so don't feel bad if that hasn't happened - I just got lucky! My boyfriend was in the 1300's and he's doing great here. So, take hard classes, take the AP tests (it's more unusual here than I thought it would be, lots of people only took 1 AP!), do community service, play sports, ND will love you!

What_is_the_minimum_GPA_for_Notre_Dame
Note: I take no credit in writing this, just passing the information on to fellow ND look-atters (yes i made that up) that want to get in.
That's not how it works. As does most universities, admission commissioners review your information and compare it to 10,000-50,000 other applications. They then decide whether or not you shall be admitted. They do have more information on their site under Undergraduate Admissions, including recommended and required credits for admittance and average ACT and SAT scores, but I will tell you their 25th percentile for the ACT is 31 and their 75th is 34. This means 25 percent of students scored under 31, 50% scored in between 31 and 34, and 25% scored higher than 34, so you will have to work for this milestone
You can obtain this information by going to www.collegeboard.com/splash/ and using the sites College MatchMaker search engine. You can research colleges and universities by name, or by programs of study, or by geographical location, size, or combinations of all etc. The site will provide you with a list of institutions based on your request. It will give you the schools background, accreditation, programs of study, entrance requirements, tuition and fees, etc. and a link to the institutions official web page.
