It should be an Associate's Degree, but unfortunately US universities won't recognize it. I have a Certifcate III in Electrotechnology (Systems Electrician), and for credit hour applications it isn't worth anything. You have to find an employer that will recognize it for what it's worth. Hope this helps! Good luck getting your Australian electrical license transferred to the US!
