human resource and hrm both are different , as the term specifies that hr is nothing but the human resource(people resource as like other resources) where as hrm is the management of human resources, hence human resource can be called as the employees in an organisations, hrm is the management of employees in an organisation

Human Resource Managers is an extension of the role of the personnel manger. These branches of management had been developed to a higher degree under the name "Human Resources Management."
In 1970s they found other inputs of production were managed as valuable things. In fact these were considered valuable resources .That means those are considered resources not to be wasted but used efficiently & effectively. It was also seen that this resource management approach should be extended to the management of people resource i.e. Human Resource. Hence the name Human Resource Management (HRM).
They also appreciated the unique features of this resource and management theoreticians concluded that is the most important resource.
