My brother studied sociology in high school.
Sociopath.
There is no specific major to choose before you go to law school. I go to school with many business, science, arts and social sciences students. Ideally, you will have taken at least some courses which require you to write essays and apply critical thinking skills. I have found that my philosophy courses have been really helpful. Intellectual property law is an area which is developing really quickly and a lot of employers in this area look for people with an engineering background. Personally, I did International Development and Globalization which is kind of a mix of poli sci, economics, history and sociology. I have found a lot of the skills I developed there to be very helpful. At the end of the day, as cliché as it sounds, it seems to be most important to choose an undergrad program that interests you and in which you will get good marks to allow you to enter law school. Hope that helps. Good luck!!
LSU, good school
There are good sociology careers out there. Some of them are criminal justice, welfare services, government, counseling, socials services, sociologist and many more.

st. john's in queens, ny has a good program
Sociology or psychology would be a good fit for going into public service. Law is also a major that ties in well with political science. A foreign language minor would look excellent on a resume.
