There are a number of types of institutions that offer an accredited LPN program. However, I would strongly suggest you take the program (typically one academic year), at a college. In this way, if you choose to become an RN at a later date, some of these credits will apply. The most prevalent colleges offering this program are community colleges.
math????
It is a two year program.
You may apply all year round, but there are deadlines for each semester. Each semester changes so I would look at the technical school closest to you to find a deadline that works for you,
Typically, they last nine months to a year. I strongly recommend individuals interested in becoming an LPN go through a college. The most prevalent schools offering this program are community colleges, however, there are also vocational and technical schools offering the program.
Go to a technical school for about a year.

You will likely have to either attend a public technical school, or a private school for this type of education. The Art Institute is one of the highest rated programs, but you can also check out your local tech schools to see what is available. Programs can take anywhere from one year to four, depending on the program and school.
You can earn an art degree at a four year institution, a vocational/technical school (2yr program), or at a community college. The choice is yours to make based on your long term goals.
Certification program
As you say in your question, a four-year LPN program lasts four years.
LPN training is offered by technical schools and community colleges that have allied health programs. When you choose a program, go with one that bridges to a two-year RN program in case you want to continue your education. The length of the program in question depends on the school. Some can be a simple program that lasts a few months while others will go on for the full 4 year program.
