Just to establish protocol i graduated from high school in 2005 and have been a student at Rasmussen College for 2 years now at the Fort Myers, Fl campus. I believe it to be one of the best institutions after having attended a community college and public state university. I left Florida Gulf Coast University to attend this institution and I believe in it!
The professors are highly trained and motivated. Now take out of this what you will but every school has it's faults. Rasmussen has those. Some of the professors are really hard to communicate with(if you're an online student). As far as the academics, all i need to say is that it's a regionally accredited institution of higher learning according to NCA and USDE. They teach and inspire you to do great things. The campus instructors are always helpful and knowledgeable when you approach them, this I can promise.
I tried online learning with the school and decided against it and am now a full time traditional student. Why? Because of the environment. Rasmussen College staff promotes a family atmosphere and they don't deviate from it. You are provided ALL of the resources possible and they are there to help you every step of the way. I am extremely proud to be a RAS.
My advice to you is to take a trip to your campus and just talk to any of the employees and staff there. If possible, sit in on a lecture even. I am SURE you will not be disappointed.

Yes. Rasmussen College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Regional accreditation is only awarded to colleges that meet criteria set by the association in their respective region, and can provide assurance that an organization has been found to meet strict requirements and criteria, and that there are reasonable grounds for believing it will continue to do so according to the HLC's Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions: An Overview, 2007 Edition. In addition, Rasmussen College has achieved programmatic accreditation for several of its programs at several of its campuses when available, including CAHIIM for Health Information Technicians and CAAHEP for Surgical Technologist.
