You can get a degree in journalism, media, film, communications or others. While getting a degree, you can earn money, and still gain contacts in the industry. To see what I mean, try reading the articles. Hope this helps.

∙ 13y agoThere are broadcasting schools that are trade schools in a lot of metropolitan areas, however most radio positions require experience. The path a lot of radio broadcasters make are getting their degree in Communication or a related field (i.e. Bachelor's Degree) and then working as an intern at the college/university that they are attending to gain experience.

∙ 11y agoIn order to become a radio broadcaster it is in ones best interest to attend and graduate from an accredited Broadcast program. Many colleges such as NAIT and SAIT offer degrees in both Radio and Television Broadcasting.
As you can plainly recognize if you listen to a lot of radio ... not much. It doesn't take a lot of education to know how to operate the console, and even less to be able to open your mouth, read, talk, and tell time. But it does take some education to avoid making a complete fool of yourself when you do eventually open the microphone.
As you can plainly tell by spinning the dial for a while -- not much. What you need is a voice and a style of expression that people feel good about listening to.
