Well, I'm from Canada so I'm not sure if it's the same as in the USA. In any case, in Canada you need a Bachelor's degree of Science (B.Sc.) for many medical schools, plus a certain grade on the MCAT, and a certain GPA. In others, sometimes only a Bachelor's degree of Arts (B.A.) is required, as long as you received the required marks on the MCAT, and your GPA is above a certain level. The requirements are specific to the university at which you want to pursue your MD. You'll have to narrow down exactly WHERE you want to go before you can figure out what you need to get there. Hope I helped!
In Canada, you can leave your body to science by stating your wish to bequeath your body to one of the 17 medical schools located across the Canadian provinces. The medical university covers all costs for collecting a donated body, the cremation of remains, and the return of cremated remains to the family.
It depends on the province (and possibly on the particular school). An honours degree usually takes four years (the same as a US bachelor's degree). Some schools may offer "pass degrees" which can be completed in three.
