if you are talking to a male and the baby is a male: mah shlomkha umah shlom hatinok

if you are talking to a female and the baby is a male: mah shlomekh umah shlom hatinok

if you are talking to a female and the baby is a female: mah shlomekh umah shlom hatinoket

if you are talking to a male and the baby is a female: mah shlomkha umah shlom hatinoket

But it would be easier just to say "how are you" in the plural form: mah shlomkhem

This is very colloquial and can't be translated literally into Hebrew. You would say any of the following:

  • yofi (יופי) = beauty!
  • eizeh yofi (איזה יופי) = what beauty!
  • eizeh motek (איזה מותק) = what sweetness!
  • kol ha kavod (כל הכבוד) = all the glory (similar to "give yourself a pat on the back" or "good job")
