First of all, you should know what kinds of requirements they have.
Many people think that you have to be really, super-duper over-the-top in everything: 4.0+, 2400 SAT, 36 ACT, take a whole bunch of co-curriculars and AP classes.
But, sad to say, some people that excelled throughout their high school years didn't even get accepted, and others that had GPAs of 3.5 got accepted. It's really random, and the competition is VERY high, considering Harvard is the top university in the world.
You don't need to go to an Ivy League school to get a good career. It is really, really, hard to get in, considering how many people apply, and they only accept around 9% of the applicants.
